Michelle McKinney 1. What is a camera? A camera is a box that contains a light sensitive device and a way of letting an amount of light at a certain time to make an image. 2. What is a convex lens? A convex lens will bend the light towards the center of the lens, since one or both sides of the lens curve out. 3. What three components make up a film camera? Define each part. The distance from an object to the lens- the more the object is moved closer or farther away, the angle allows more light to enter. Magnification- the distance between the lens and film. Telephoto lenses- when an image is made to seem closer than it really is. 4. What is a pentaprism? What job does it do in the camera? Pentaprism- A five sided mirror, the light from the image bounces off this mirror and into the viewfinder, where you see the picture. 5. What are point and shoot cameras? How do they differ from SLR cameras? They are mirrors that use an optical viewfinder, than having to use a semiautomatic mirror. They have a semiautomatic movement mirror.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
