7 Problems on test like quizes. independent two sample t-test, equal and unequal variance also a paired t-test Understand printouts, what you need and don't need Two sample t-test tests for differences between populations Problems 13.26 For unequal variance t-test: You DO NOT pull the variances You PULL the degrees of freedom Use this equation: In Rejection P-value is the same for one-sided or two-sided. Always reject if p is less than alpha. In the other method it can vary. Paired T Test 1) Samples are NOT independent 2) In a paired t-test we have natural or "common sense" pairs Examples: 1. Two measurements on the same object 2. Before and after measurements 3. Measurements on brothers and sisters To do a paired t-test you DO NOT need the f-test. You only do an f-test when you have independent samples. Test 6 or 7 questions like 5 or 6 of our quizes put together one short answer question one fill in the blanks bring formula sheet know diffs between t-test and z-test just by reading the problem
