2Annotated The world we live in today is more violent than ever. So many people lost faith in police officers because of the recent rise in officer involved shooting of unarmed people. This is something that needs to be changed. Even though police are there to protect us, the media has a way of twisting things around to boost their ratings, by May of 2015 more than 400 people fell victim to police brutality and when there is a police involved shooting on TV 99% of the time thevictim in of color. At least that’s what the media wants us to see. The purpose of this paper is to look deeper into the world of police brutality and the victims the media does and does not want us to see. This article shows that there are more deaths by policemen then there seem to be. The authors go on and talk about these incidents. They also propose a solution to make sure the public is fully aware of all the incidents going onand not just the ones we see in the media spotlight.
