CASE STUDY 2 2 Case Study 2 Yes, I fully believe that Publishers Clearinghouse has and still commits fraudulent acts with the sweepstakes they run. I personally do not believe that any person has won anything ever. They have their testimonials and vans runaround, but I would equate those to the cure-all elixirs of the late 18 th and early 19 th centuries. Following full disclosure, I had filled these things out in the past in hopes that I would win the $1 million dollars or whatever the amount was when I completed the form. I did not order any magazines, and I never heard or got anything back; for a "guaranteed winner" not to hear anything to me seems like a fraudulent practice. The fact that they settled out of court seems to cement this fact in my mind. The curious aspect of this case is that only 26 states were involved that said, I am unaware of how many states they operate. Again
