Wk5 Question #1 What exactly is training? (don't answer yet and Please don't parrot-back the text definition!!!) Include in your discussion and explanation, your ideas about WHY you think corporations spend billions of dollars every year to provide training for their employees. What does training do for an organization? Is there really any benefit to training? Why or why not ...... ? Training is improvement and development of new or old skills. Organizations that spend billions of dollars every year to provide training for their employees are dedicated to the success and future development within the company. Organizations that allow its employees to train and grow within the company are more likely to have lower turnover rates as well as work committed employees. Further training of employees, allow for employees to move within the company, instead of costing company’s millions in recruitment and hiring tactics. The quality of training is important and focusing on the improvement of employees saves money overtime. “In a production-focused business, quality training is extremely important. Quality training refers to familiarizing employees with the means of preventing, detecting, and eliminating no quality items, usually in an organization that produces a product” ( Delph, n.d., p. 235). This is why companies spend billions of dollars every year on their employees.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
