Worksheet 8 1. 2. 3. Due to my stubbornness seeking advice from people is something I rarely do. I remember a time that I felt that I needed to seek an opinion other then my own on an issue and their empathy made it difficult for me to gain a different perspective. Because they were so empathetic their advice seemed bias to me and therefore did not get me anywhere closer to finding a solution. They didn’t support my self efficacy in terms of my ability to change because they were taking my side on things. 4. If my friend approached me about their eating disorder some ways I would express empathy would be to talk to them and let them express how they feel so I can understand without judgment. In order to help them develop discrepancy I would use questions to ask them how the eating disorder affects them negatively and how it may be a positive thing to them without making any assumptions. Finally to help support their Self Efficacy, I would acknowledge their strength and ability to
