ENRICHMENT LESSON PLAN OUTLINE PROFESSOR Ms. Contreras CLASS Origami/Leadership COURSE DESCRIPTION *** This month the students will concentrate on the importance of learning how to be leaders; such as planning events, making posters, promoting the upcoming events and making flyers. This will be done a long while doing origami figures twice a week. WEEK 1 THEME: Summer Kickoff TARGET STANDARDS: *CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.5.1 Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 5 topics and texts, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly. *CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.4.1.B Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions and carry out assigned roles. *CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.3.3 Ask and answer questions about information from a speaker, offering appropriate elaboration and detail. WILL THERE BE ANY SAFETY CONCERNS IN YOUR LESSON THIS WEEK? YES NO JUNE 6 ***This week students will begin on their enrichment. They will get to pick an enrichment and then move on to my explanation of the class and discussing class rules and expectations. They will start off by planning the first fun Friday of the week and making posters for the events. 1. They will get ideas and plan the fun Friday. 2. They will get construction papers and paint to begin making their posters. 3. They will put everything away and clean up after themselves. MATERIALS QUANTITY MATERIAL DETAILED ITEM DESCRIPTION WHERE TO PURCHASE Construction paper Paint Paint brushes (at least 25) Glitter Glue (at least 20) Pencils (at least 30) Line paper Color pencils (at least 20 packs) Office depot Allards ? JUNE 7 ***They will start off by planning the first fun Friday of the week and making posters for the events. 1. They will get ideas and plan the fun Friday. 2. They will get construction papers and paint to continue making their posters. 3. They will put everything away and clean up after themselves.
