In addition to the problems below, solve problems 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5 from the
textbook.
1.
Estimate the price that you (or somebody else such as your parents) pay for each lecture in
this course. Include tuition as well as room and board in your calculation. Compare that
value to the cost of a ticket for a Broadway show.
2.
Create an mfile using Matlab which plots the following six (x,y) data points in an xy plot:
(1.3, 1.5), (1.8, 2.4), (3.6, 2.9), (4.2, 4.1), (4.7, 7.3), (8.0, 7.6), in consecutive order. Do this
by creating two vectors, named respectively,
x
and
y
and then use the
plot
command. You
need to submit a hard copy of the mfile which contains the pertinent commands and also
of the plot. Be sure to label plot axes and to provide a title.
