According to the Bible and the Christian worldview, Jesus was fully God and fully human. Interacting with the readings, especially Philippians 2:5-11 and Hebrews 1:1-3, explain why this teaching of Jesus' full divinity and full humanity is important to Christianity Jesus is important to the Christian worldview, because he is the perfect example of God’s vision for humanity. He is the epitome of how man can live up to God’s standards or original plan. I have heard statements of this nature before, but the idea hadn’t really sunk in until I read how Jesus “made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men”. This is even more evident in Hebrews 1:2 when Jesus is referred to as the “heir of all things”. This is a direct parallel of the creation of Adam in Genesis, when he is given dominion over the earth and all its creatures. God saw how man went awry, and sent Jesus Christ as both a second chance for humanity, and another chance for His original vision to be actualized.
