Russia 3 History Starting Point In Ancient to Present time Ukraine is the largest country entirely in Europe, strategically position between Europe and Asia titled “The Gate way to Europe”, Ukraine is famous to its fertile soil and high agricultural output but over the decades it goes beyond on its capacity and became a center of industrialization and to add more important fact Ukraine became the center of pipeline for Russia to Europe, In ancient history Ukraine was settled down by the Sweden Vikings settlers and local Slavs established the powerful kingdom of Kievan-Rus, evidences says that Ukraine and Russia consider this Sweden Vikings and local Slavs as their cultural inheritance however due to internal conflict and followed by a Mongol invasion in 13 th century, the kingdom of Kievan-Rus ended, while Russia maintained different kind of independence, the region of Ukraine became the playground of neighboring powers. The Division of the Region, Ukraine First it was the division of six powers the Ottoman Sultanate, Hungary, Poland-Lithuania, Golden Horde, Wallachia which divided the region of Ukraine, over all the Poland-Lithuanian and Ottoman Sultanate and the Mongolians Golden Horde is actively pursuing to seek domination to the region of Ukraine, in the 14 th century the region of Ukraine was divided to five neighboring powers the Ottoman Sultanate, Hungary, Golden Horde, Poland-Lithuania, while Wallachia became a principal state of the Ottoman Sultanate, the Mongolian Golden Horde seek advances and territorial attacks to its neighboring country the Ottoman Sultanate, Poland-Lithuanian and Hungary however on the early modern period before the Cossack era, The Golden Horde dissolve within due to internal conflict and family feud while Hungary became a vassal state of the Ottoman Sultanate, Poland-Lithuanian created its own Polish–

Russia 4 Lithuanian Commonwealth, thus this open to new era of the division of Ukraine region divided by two powers the Ottoman Sultanate controlling the south part and the Poland-Lithuanian controlling the north part of the region however it change when the rising Russian Empire to the east declare its intention to dominate the region of Ukraine.
