The Progressive Era impacted and transformed the US social and political landscape. For this task, you
will create a timeline to show the chronological sequence of events from the Progressive Era.
Using what you’ve learned in this unit, create an outline of important events between 1900 and 1920. You
only need to include the date and name of the event. Minimum 7 events. 1901: Theodore Roosevelt becomes President
1904: Roosevelt Corollary to Monroe Doctrine
1904-1914: Panama Canal built
1912: Election of Woodrow Wilson
1914 World War 1 begins
1919 Eighteenth Amendment prohibits alcoholic beverages
1920 Nineteenth Amendment gives women the right to vote Part B

about reform at the national level.
In your response, be sure to analyze the successes and limitations of these efforts in the period
between 1900 and 1920. It may also be helpful to analyze events prior to 1900 because many Progressive ideals began to take
