Fences Review I thought the film was about the defense of the rights of African Americans in the United States, but is more about with the problems that African-American families had to deal with in the 1950s. At first it was very difficult to understand the English language of the characters, their conversation flowed too fast, and used too many words that I did not know. At first everybody asked Troy for money, I think because he was the only one who had work and the others did not earn too much money. Troy had problems in his adolescence, because he dreamed to be baseball player, but he did not achieve its objective by the discrimination at that time, and when the African- American players were admitted he was already very old to dedicate itself to the sport. Also, because in his work he was a garbage collector and only whites could be the truck drivers, the he became in the first African-American driver.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
