In the current age of social media, becoming a public figure has never been easier. Fame  and fortune are just a Tweet, Instagram, or Facebook post away. It is equally easy to  become infamous with one wrong statement, or choice being taken out of context leading to a hell storm of bad publicity. In such a polar world, traditional role models are  especially difficult to come by. Very few individuals have been able to navigate the  shark-infested waters of being a public figure without incident. I think it is time to update the perception of what a real, role model is. role models aren’t, “Holier than thou”  individuals that are the closest thing to perfection that humanity has to offer. Role models according to the Marriam-Webster dictionary are, “Individuals whose behavior in a  particular role is imitated by others.” The problem with the current perception of what are
