If I were a high level board member or an administrator in a community college, I would use Shared Authority as my organizational model to utilize and accomplish the goals I set out. When it comes to running a community college I think the more people you have running it and as a team the better the school will turn out. The board at each college could be responsible for clarifying its mission and purpose; Appoint, support, and monitor the chief executive’s performance; Access board performance, through self-study; Participate in strategic planning; Review educational and public service programs; Ensure adequate resources; Ensure good management; Preserve institutional independence, within the confines of the system; Relate campus to community and community to campus; and Serve as a court of appeal. That is so many different responsibilities that in my “utopia” of a college campus there would be a strong board who all had a responsibility for this college. Having the board members, staff, and student body on board and all participating in making the campus better is my biggest goal.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
