CAMOSUN COLLEGE MENG 181 MECHANICAL MECHANICAL CONTROL PROGRAMMING - LAB REPORT 8 OBJECTIVE- To have students to emulate a pedestrian crossing traffic light using a microcontroller running a “C” language program. APPARATUS – PIC12F675 Microcontroller Electronic Breadboard 5 LEDs–2 x Red, 1 x Amber and 2 x Green 1 x NO Momentary Pushbutton Switch Assorted Breadboard Wires and Resistors THEORY – Subroutines: Subroutines are small sections of program code, which can be used over and over again. Rather than writing a long program which repeats a certain section of code, it is more efficient to write a small subroutine and call it when it is needed. Interrupts: A microcontroller interrupt is said to have occurred, if the regular programming is stopped and a special interrupt handler routine (program) is run. After the interrupt handler has finished, the microcontroller normally returns to the spot in its regular programming where it left off. FLOW CHART - A flowchart provides a visual representation of the steps that the microcontroller program must take to successfully complete its objectives. The first step is to review the problem definition and break it down into small steps or tasks. This may require that you break the problem down into smaller portions and layout the steps required to solve each portion. Then reassemble the portions into a larger program.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
