Can a Business Be Ethical The term ethics encompasses a set of principles and values that set a code of moral behavior, which essentially distinguishes between what, is good and right from what is bad and wrong. Ethical codes have been in place for a long time in various aspects of the society and in fact, they exist as implied obligations that people in order to carry on their lives in an integral and honest manner[JLi06]. Nevertheless, the concept of ethics has been a very difficult principle to adopt in business. This is because different businesses carry out varying activities that require the perception of morals from different points of view. This begs the question: Can businesses be ethical? The answer to this question is yes. For this to be possible, the owner(s) of the business must critically evaluate the environment within which they operate as well as the moral expectations the society. Once this has been done, a comprehensive analysis of the business should take place
