Computer Security Issues Executive summary This paper provides a detailed discussion on the recent trends in computer security. The paper has laid more emphasis on the ethical issues and other opinions that are provided in regard to computer security. The three main issues that have been discussed in the paper include software licensing as a viewed to be antisocial, the relationship between ethical teaching and computer security and whether abolishment of the computer security measures can reduce incidences of computer fraud. as a measure of enhancing computer security. Introduction Software licensing cannot in its entirety be considered to be antisocial. There are many elements that are directly and indirectly linked to the idea of software licensing. In a nutshell it is difficult for innovators and business companies to obtain software development rewards if licenses are abolished. Equally there are many opinions that are provided by different scholars in relation to computer security issues. There are many benefits that can be realized if the licenses are abolished. There are also many arguments that can arise from the abolishment of the computer security measures. However, it would be difficult to realize new solutions to the upcoming consumer demands if the already existing developers are not rewarded accordingly. The prospect of a financial reward is considered to be the primary motivating factor for companies and software developers to spend their time and money to come up with new technologies (Introduction to Computer and Network Security, 2013). It can also be noted that the process of rewarding software developers can notably be a challenge when the consumers have access rights to the software. There would be very few people willing to reward the developers. Most of the consumers will not remember to appreciate the efforts that were put in developing the software. Instead, they will concentrate on solving their problems using the access rights provided (Morin, Urban and Sliz, 2012). Software licensing Software licensing is the act of engaging security rights to real buyers of the software. It can be argued that availability of software information to all would foster new ideas. However, there would be less effort put towards the development of solutions to the prevailing consumer problems if such arrangements are provided. People will tend to develop software solutions as a hobby. This implies that a few people will decide to engage in developing solutions. When compared to the many consumer demands that currently exist in the market, the solutions developed through this arrangement would not be sufficient. It is therefore critical to have the current arrangement in place. The financial motivation that exists at the moment has driven many people in going extra miles to solve consumer protection (Classen, 2011).

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
