Brief Introduction: During the agreement between the National Fisheries Authority (NFA) and ConXions Limited, for the installation of PBX system’s and phones to be linked together on both NFA HQ & NFA HBSE as a AIN (Advanced Intelligent Network), several issues and situations had arose which became a hassle and that took up time in the completion of the project. The project was carried out by NFA, Datec and ConXions team. The Project was authorized and supervised by Valina Roga (NFA ICT Manager), to assist on networking of Switches, Routers and NFA’s internal network including VLANS, Matane from Datec was involved, and headed by Ronny Godfrey, (ConXions former ITC Manager and NFA Project Team Leader). The project took almost a year to complete because of several issues and other contributing factors. Details will be discussed further. Scope of work: Bullet pointed below are the scope of work done on this project. Site Inspection CAT 6 Cabling at HQ. Work done by NFA team (Almost 6 months) Deployment of HQ system with phones Deployment of HBSE PBX system with phones Linking of both systems via NFA network and Mitels AIN network Server Management Networking (VLANS, Switches, Router etc…) PBX configuration and management Phone configuration & management Relocation of Staff at HQ to HBSE DHCP Scope Mapping Upgrading of both PBX systems & configuration and updating of phone firmware Initial Cut over of NEC PABX to ConXions IP-PBX
