One of the best scriptures to give a Biblical basis for Jesus’ humanity is John 1:14, “The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory.” This verse tells us that God became a man, while at the same time being God, and came down to live among us. Jesus was fully human; He has experienced all that we experience. In addition to this, we see instances throughout scripture of Jesus experiencing human hardships, such as distress and fear in Mark 14:33, temptation to sin in Matthew 4:1-11 and Mark 1:13, and hunger in Matthew 4:2, to name a few. Jesus refers to Himself often as the “Son of Man,” which is used in Daniel 7:13 and indicates a “heavenly figure,” “both an individual and at the same time the ideal representative of the people of God. In the Jewish apocalyptic tradition this Son of Man is regarded as a preexistent one who will come at the end of the ages as a judge an as a light to the gentiles.”

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
