Explicate this 3 paragraph passage, further developing its meaning. 18. P 36-37: “The green frog skin—that was what the fight was all about . . . . When people start killing off their own symbols they are in a bad way.” ‘The green frog skin-that was what the fight was all about’ This passage demonstrates the friction between the ‘Indian man’ and the ‘Whiteman’. The green frog skin is a metaphor used by Lame deer to refer to money. Thus, the difference between the Indian world and the American world was the dollar bill. Everything to the Native American had a price tag on it. Every clump of grass and every bagful of grains had a monetary value. The frog skin was the reason why the Americans employed the pest control officer to terminate the prairie dogs since they compromised the production of grass, thus, whenever he or she came across a prairie dog he could see the frog skin slipping away from his her hands.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
