Gary Melvin Drake, 72, of Arnold Road, Lexington passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 in  Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral will be held at 11 am Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Midway United Methodist  Church conducted by the Revs. Chuck Ireson, John Woods and Ray Nance Howell IV. Burial  will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Davidson Funeral  Home and other times at the home on Arnold Road. Mr. Drake was born March 10, 1944 in Watertown, South Dakota to Melvin Drake and Erma  Nelson Drake. He was the Executive Director for the Cancer Services of Davidson County and a member of Midway United Methodist Church. Gary was a veteran having served with the US  Marines Corp. Gary received his BS in History and Political Science from Northern State University in Ab- erdeen, South Dakota as well as completing graduate hours in Guidance and Counseling. He
