WK4-CRITICAL THINKING 2 The critical thinking issue that is being discussed is in regards to Mike, a lab technician, who has had a history of tardiness at work. His manager has warned him that he needs to correct this behavior, or he may face termination. This particular incident, Mike comes to work and is very close to being late. As he walks in to work, he sees a puddle of water on the floor and he is confronted with taking care of the water hazard, or ignoring it and clocking into work. Making the right decision relies on using the attributes of critical thinking. Critical thinking involves the capability to think rationally and fair-minded. One must have the ability to employ his thinking reflectively and independently (Kelly, 2013). Critical thinking is more than just thinking "naturally." It involves analyzing oneself and self-improvement (Kelly, 2013). One needs to do more than gather information when making a good decision to think critically. Mike has good intentions and wants to show improvement in his tardiness, but he also sees a potential hazard that needs to be addressed. This assignment allows us to analyze the critical thinking efforts and the effect of those decisions that Mike has encountered.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
