Gardner-Webb University – Integration of Faith and Business Fall 2016 Chapter 10 Questions November 26th, 2016 2. Do you believe that a homocentric view of the environment reflects what Hoffman calls "human chauvinism"? Explain your answer. I do think that humans have a way of centering all decisions upon whether an action will have a positive or negative effect on us, but I don’t hold to Hoffman’s idea that this creates a “human chauvinism”. 2. List the elements of Derr's Christian approach to nature? His main focus seems to be that Christian’s are stewards of nature and that we are essentially trustees for that which simply doesn’t belong to us. 3. Do you agree with Mather that addressing climate change makes business sense? Why or why not? Or does it matter that it makes business sense? Defend your answer. I think there is a potential for it to make good business sense in certain areas. LED lightbulb technology for instance is a lot more economical than traditional lightbulbs and it is a win-win.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
