Tertullian believed that Christianity was “plain and simple it was God’s truth handed down by the apostles.” [1] Tertullian believe that it is important for us to “seek and learn to help develop our faith.” [2] This same principle still applies to us today. The bible says “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) My conclusion on what he is saying is that we must first understand that there is one God. We must also understand that Jesus came, died on the cross for all men and that the doctrine of the apostles is true. For us to gain faith we must believe in the word of God and study as much as we can. I think that Martyr and Tertullian have some similarities when it comes to their philosophy on
