I don’t agree with everything that Augustine is saying, what I do agree with is when he says “It is God alone who can read the human heart and who knows who are his.” [1] My perspective on how the invisible or visible church is this, every denomination believes that they are right, every denomination has an opinion when it comes to the scriptures. The Bible warns us that there will be false teachers and false doctrines (Matthew 24:24). The Bible says that we will know them by their fruits (Matthew 7:16-20), this makes it our responsibility to search for the truth and how we do that by praying to God and studying the word of God. The way that Augustine’s view relates to the parable in Matthew 13:24-30, is that there are going to be people in the church who are going to sow good seeds and there are people that will sow bad seeds. In the parable the servants realize that there are bad seeds planted amongst the good seed of the field, they want to pull them out but are told to let they grow

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
