International Aid Debate Alexandra Concordia Have you ever seen those commercials on TV? You know, the ones telling you we can save children by donating so and so. While I’m sorry to say that at this point I’m not sure we can. America’s international aid should be limited because it makes other countries rely on us, it makes it easier for corrupted governments not to give money to the people, and only helps the economy for a short while. While it is noble to step in and help countries in need of international aid it can become very destructive. It can cause the country in need of the aid co- dependent. If the country is suffering to greatly it may not be able to get back up on its feet even after the aid meaning it will once again need aid. If the government to which we give the aid is corrupted it will most likely take the money for their own use. It is sad but true that it happens a lot. Corrupted governments can cause a lot of people to go into poverty. Corrupted governments spend the money sent for aid on themselves mostly.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
