2 Ethical and Socially Responsive Business As I began my research of what a code of conduct is and what it means, I realize that it speaks to the very heart of who we, as working adults, should be and what we should stand for. As a CEO, understanding what a code of conduct is created for is to simply get a lesson in humanity that can make this world a better place because it is not meant to discriminate, but to set standards for all to be a positive impact not just in the workplace, but in their personal lives as well. As the CEO of The Cheesecake Factory, it is important that the staff share in and be committed to a team of excellence that is committed to our customers.
