1. The Dust bowl was an example of desertification which happened in 1900s. It was a drought that his the United states where severe dust storms happened during a dry America in the southern plains. These high winds swept dust from which killed livestock and killed crops across the region. Facts that that played to cause this was over cultivation during the World War 1, due to increased harvest. Scientist believe what was the major factor was the jet stream which caused this drought. 2. Glaciers are ice structures that a ice structure that are moving islands basically due to their large size. Unlike land which is formed from rocks, glaciers are formed from snowfall gathering up on top forming this ice structure. The Glaciers will remain as long as it receives more snow in the winter than it can melt away in the winter. As snow piles up it is compressed because of the weight and it compressed into a solid body of ice. While they are traveling they tend to break into icebergs which which can deform land due to its massive weight.
