MISUNDERSTANDING IN COMMUNICATION Misunderstanding is the act of failing to understand or get something or some information properly. Misunderstanding has happened in so many areas in life and also in the media. For instance, when there are a workers meeting and the chief executive officer addresses the junior employee. If he tends to make weird facial expressions that are not linked to his message the junior workers will misunderstand the message and think that the CEO has some negative views about them. In some cases, I have also interpreted other people uncharitably leading to unfriendly consequences. Back in high school, I was the class monitor, and I wanted to congratulate my fellow classmate called Allan who was the top performer in the whole school. As I was addressing him, I put a frowning face because I had a fight with one of my friends and he misinterpreted me thinking that I was not happy with his stunning performance.
