Running Head: Quality Control 1. Discuss the premise of TQ. Then, Design a TQ initiative for your company outlining steps that will provide internal and external support for your initiative. Boeing in 2011 defined quality as providing services or products to customers that meet their needs and expectations whereas Total Quality is the method of performing business that tries to make the most of the competitive nature of an organization through continuous development of superiority merchandises, services, processes, environment, and people. Quality is all about consumer satisfaction and product’s fitness for use: Total quality entails constant improvement of an organization in its services, products and delivery modes whereas total quality management is the comprehensive efforts of an organization in improving products and services which apply to all organizations. The key features of overall quality are a performance that is long term which involves strategic planning and approach that centers on continuous improvement of activities and decisions that focus on the customer. Total quality is collective efforts which do not just include one individual concept as it is some related ideas pulled together to create a comprehensive approach to doing business. Many people have contributed to better meaningful ways to the development of diverse ideas that are collectively called Total quality. Total quality can be well summarized as a management system that concentrates on continual improvement for a customer focused organization. Total quality customs data usage , strategy and operational communication to integrate the discipline of total quality into the events and beliefs of an organization.
