ID 202: Instructional Design and Messaging 1 Design Project: Instructional Analysis Template Name: Date: Project Topic: 1. Context Analysis Given what you know about intended learning environment and constraints on time, money, and people, complete the table below. Table 1: See page 49 in the text for examples of how environment and other constraints can affect design. Context Concern Response What is the total timeframe available for design, material production, and evaluation of instruction? The duration of this class is 5-7 hours or as needed, plus range time. Does the designer have adequate content area expertise? The effectiveness of the designer depends on proper instructions use. The instructions for the design have enough content and have room for the expected changes. If the steps in carrying out the goal are unknown, will the designer have access to experts to provide them? The students will have a firearms instructor certified by the CCDW. Additionally, support staff will provide their expertise. They can be RO’s or RSO’s certified by CCDW. Have delivery system decisions already been made? The delivery of the instruction for the design will be through lectures, demonstrations and active participation of students Has the location where instruction will be used already been decided? If so, what resources are available?
