Racher Vs. Quail Creek Nursing Home In 2012, Eryetha Mayberry, a 96-year-old woman, was a resident at the Quail Creek Nursing  Home and Rehabilitation Center in Oklahoma. Mayberry was suffering from dementia.   Mayberry’s three daughters installed cameras into her room after they suspected someone  stealing from their mother. Once the cameras were installed, the daughters found something  they didn’t expect to find. A video of nursing home employees, Lucy Waithira Gakunga and Caroline Kaseke, forcing  Mayberry to lie down by pushing her head and preventing her from breaking. The video also  showed one of the employees shoving latex gloves into Mayberry’s mouth. Mayberry passed  away in July of 2012.  The daughters filed a lawsuit against the nursing home once the video was leaked. The Jury  found the nursing home guilty of negligence and abuse. They awarded the family $1.2 million.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
