As the population continues to grow agriculture experts are seeking ways to produce food that would keep up with the growing nations. The human population has surpassed seven billion and is continuously increasing at a fast rate. Agricultural experts are concerned; if the population continues to grow there will be a dire need for food (Turk & Bensel, 2014). For example, to sustain the people and the needs of society, the United States has increased its food production by genetically modifying foods. As a result, the Unites States has a more plentiful food supply. According to Turk & Bensel, (2014, Section 3.3, para 2) “Genetic modification works by removing genetic material from one organism and inserting it into the DNA of another.” Genetic modification in itself creates a more variety of foods and works to reduce the amount of used water, synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Moreover, the genetically modified plants can be healthier for consumption and are engineered to withstand adverse weather conditions (floods and high winds) that a traditional plant may not be able to withstand.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
