The May Day Eve is the first day of May and it is a night for divination and lovers. The tradition that people do during this day is to celebrate spring, for the reason that they consider it as a present from the gods. 2 The opening paragraph of the story is important. What impression does it give the readers? The opening paragraph shows the readers how the May Day Eve is celebrated. It gave a feeling to the readers a lasting impression, because the description is retold in the last paragraph. 3 The last paragraph is parallel with the first paragraph. What intention does the author have in parallel structure. The intention of the author is to reiterate for elaboration, where he exactly retold the description of the couple of street lamps until the end of the story to let the readers realize that they had a love of regret that they loved each other in the
