Yes, an individual’s level of preparation should be a factor to determine the cost of their rescue. We may all strive to behave correctly and do well, a gap often exists between the ideal outcome and what can realistically be accomplished. Unfortunately, good intentions may prove insufficient to ensure that wrongs will not occur. An effective response requires developed skills, planned resources, the right information, and a keen ethical and self-awareness. When you don’t get what you expected for than the outcomes are unfortunate. To have an effective response on risks situations is required to have developed skills and self- awareness. There are a lot of other factors but here is a guide for having a good behavior of mental health that come to my mind: Personality and self-discipline, aversion to risk, flexible. Be optimist and have the desire for greater compensation, self-motivated, be courageous, do not harm yourself and the most important be accountable.
