Sometimes when two people don't like each other a common ground needs to be found in order for them to get along. Throught almost all of "No Promises in the Wind", Josh has a strong disliking towards his father, Stefan. However Josh realizes that he and his father have a lot in common and that Josh can relate to his father. Being able to relate to his father is the single most important factor that changes Josh's heart towards his father. Josh and Joey left home because Josh could not take his father's bitterness towards him. Josh's father grew up in 1910 and the 20's. He had a life full of toil and a father who, "...had never been able to leave his music for the toil of farm or mine or factory." Now Stefan has to feed a family of five, including himself. Josh is his oldest son and has a talent for playing the piano. Stefan does like music but feels as though Josh should be working instead of playing the piano. Therefore he has a bittersweetness towards his son about music. Music is the first thing that Josh can relate to with his father.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
