Jackson 1 Whitney Jackson Art History Professor Jenny 11 February 2016 Final Draft of Self-Portrait Essay Every year thousands of tourists travel around the world, to visit some of the respectable art museums. At some point in our lives, we all study a piece of artwork. Whether your first time studying a piece of artwork took place at home, school, or work; art is all around us. For some of us, school is the first learning environment, where students study the famous artworks of all time. In addition, these students start to create artwork themselves. Also, they then start to study their peers’ artwork as well. Like most students around the world, I had the opportunity to study one of my peers ‘piece of art. In the Self-Portrait , Enzo (my peer) displays the meaning of courage. This meaning is mostly conveyed through the artist use of space, shape, color, contrast, emphasis, and focal point.
