What is bad?-All that proceeds from weakness. What is happiness?-The feeling that power is increasing-that resistance has been overcome. I don’t necessarily agree with this. I do believe that happiness is related to overcoming the weak and power is basically will power that is good. In a sense I agree, but on a whole I do not. “The Experience Machine” pg 124-125

Unformatted text preview: I would not like the experience machine for the long term. I would try to receive the pleasure, but me personally needs to be active and do something. I need to encounter civilization or feel reality in the sense that I am living it not just hooked up to a machine. “Utilitarian Ethics” 139-140 I strongly believe that what is right benefits the greater good.or the greatest number. I believe that individuals should consider the affect actions will have on society as a whole before one is to act....
