In the Wei section, there is a chronicle on Wa (Japan) Directions given by Chinese to Yamatai land you in the middle of the ocean if you change the distances, you are in Kyushu if you change the directions, you are in Kinai Yamatai Society primitice clothing no distinctions drawn between people; more of less all equal. Primitive to the Chinese. Yet some differences in status: There is a queen, who has lots of servants and one male servant; Withdrawn from society; kept peace; different from earlier male rulers. Chinese claim two unusual things:
