Tokugawa Ieyasu Key Political Moves - Wins Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 - Became shogun in 1603 - Passes title to son in 1605 o to make sure that the hereditary process happens while he’s still alive, unlike Hideyoshi. - Wins Battle of Osaka Castle, 1614-1615 o Against Hideyori Toyotomi o castle + 100 ronin are impregnable o Ieyasu tricks them, get in and takes ‘um down!
