    What is Teach for America TFA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to  “to build the movement to eliminate educational  inequity. Since 1990 over 14,000 people have completed the  TFA program.   Comprised of recent college graduates  and business professionals who have distinguished  themselves both in leadership and academics.

    About Teach for America Corps members commit to teaching for two years in  lower-income communities. They do not need to be certified teachers before the  beginning of the program.  Training is provided.
