Journal of Clinical Nursing, 23(19/20), 2854- 2863.doi:10.1111/jocn.12575 In the article from Sand-Jecklin and Sherman (2014) they intended to regulate the outcomes of a blended bedside shift report for nurses. This article debates about a handful of benefits of using bedside reporting on several university hospital medical surgical units including; patient feeling more informed of the care plan, increased patient involvement, and nursing teamwork. The outcomes that were measured included patient and nurse satisfaction, patient falls, nursing overtime and medication errors (Sand-Jecklin et. al, 2014) .According to the research there was a significant increase in satisfaction among staff nurses and patients regarding safety and accountability (Sand-Jecklin et. al, 2014). Falls were decreased with bedside reporting. One
