Goal try to make the patients to understand the unconscious conflicts that are causing their problems 2. Free association and dream analysis 3. Insight give them insight about their problems ii. Contemporary Variations – Psychodynamic Therapy see patients less frequently b. Humanistic Psychotherapy assumption that a person is innately driven to grow, people having problems have road blocks to grow i. Goals remove road blocks, make clients feel accepted ii. Carl Rogers’s Client- or Person-Centered Therapy a role as a listener; they don’ t judge or give advice, let the patient feel worthy enough to solve problems 1. Unconditional positive regard 2.
