Dhara Bhakta CHEM 237-511 October 26, 2008 Prepartive Gas Chromotography The purpose of this lab was to use preparative gas chromatography to separate a mixture of components and then use IR to identify the compounds. For this experiment my partner and I were assigned to perform a GC of the compound ‘155-H’ at a gas chromatograph set at 190 °C. We began by injected 40uL of the unknown compound into the GC machine.
