Ian Sherk 10/11/06 Maki Eng 106 Churchill’s Fine Cigars Walking down the streets of Birmingham I smell a musky odor and look over my shoulder. There stands Churchill’s. Churchill’s is a rustic fine cigar shop that looks like it would not be out of place in Old England. Standing behind the counter is an appropriately dressed man according to the theme. Right as I walk in he gets up to greet me. After checking out the store, I come to the conclusion that their target audience is primarily the upper class, or those who want to feel like the upper class. Looking around I notice many rhetorical devices set up to appeal to their audience. The products all have eloquent tags which describe why the particular product is useful and necessary to have. The tag for what I see as a relatively plain ashtray says, “These large ashtrays are made in Germany and command a presence on any table. Perfect for a centerpiece in the boardroom or den, these exquisite ashtrays are a 'must have' accessory. Each color is
