Paul NPC Project Coordinator 301 DuPont Hall Newark, DE 19716 Subject: Pomeroy Branch Rail to Trail Pedestrian Bridge Dear Mr. Paul, This proposal had been prepared in response to the Newark Park Commission’s request for the construction of a pedestrian bridge over Paul’s Run as a part of the Pomeroy Branch Rail to Trail project. Paul’s Run has become a place where people litter and abuse the land. The creek is actually a place where wildlife could flourish if the land was properly maintained. With the construction of this bridge and the cleaning of Paul’s Run, pedestrians would be able to enjoy a walk through Newark’s environment while the wildlife can finally live at ease. That is why we believe this project is important for the Newark community. In this proposal, we will explain our plans to prepare for and construct this bridge. Justification At P.B. Engineering, we believe that connecting people with the nature that surrounds them is very important, which is exactly what the construction of this bridge will do.
