Influence of Manager’s Leadership Styles on Nursing Job Satisfaction in Public Hospital 1 1. Introduction In a health facility, improved quality of health outcomes strongly inclines to the leadership style of the administration. Essentially, increasing satisfaction of nurses is an integral aspect of meeting the challenges of quality of health outcomes, patient satisfaction together with the retention of nursing staff in a hospital setting. 1.1 Aim To examine the effect of leadership styles of nurse managers on job satisfaction and the intent to work among the Saudi nurses. 1.2 Objective To find out the effect of nursing manager’s leadership style on job satisfaction among the Saudi nurses in public hospital. To establish a systematic and effective career plan suitable for the Saudi nurses. To examine the impact of professional career development plan on the Saudi nurses and its influence on the quality of health outcomes to public hospitals. 1.3 Research Question How can a systematic and effective leadership plan meet the demands of Saudi nurses in realizing their potential? What is the impact of having a career plan on the Saudi nurses and the Saudi health system at large? How can the best career plan be constructed to realize job satisfaction, staff retention and improved performance of the nursing staff in the Saudi Arabia?
