What evidence points us to the universality of myths?Myths are stories based on tradition with some factual evidence, or none at all. They are sacred tales that explain the world and man’s experience. Evidence of myths’ universality is how most of the same myths are found in almost every culture. Same basic plot, just different details. What is an archetype? A universal symbolic pattern. They explain the nature of the world and life. 3 . What are four mythical archetypes? Write at least one paragraph describing each archetype.Mentor- They help the hero in some way. They train and motivate them to get over fears and insecurities. They normally give the hero knowledge or a gift of importance.Hero- The main character. They are called upon to sacrifice themselves in some way by leaving the “regular world” to go on a quest. Threshold Guardian- Something, or someone, who stands between heroes and their special world. They test the hero’s resolve and make them prove
