1. The Piano first origins date back to the first hunters and gathers. These people used a combination of animal horns and strings to send signals to each other. These men eventually figured out that by varying the strings in length and density, they can produce a different pitch. However, the first instrument that stimulated the invention of the piano was the harpsichord. The harpsichord is very similar to a piano, but cannot vary between soft and loud. By 1709, Bartolomeo Cristofori created the first “Piano Forte” or a harpsichord with soft and loud. In 1725, Christian Ernst Friederici then created the Grand Piano and around 1815 the upright piano was produced by Robert Wornum. 2. The most recognized pianists of today are Jerry Lee Lewis and John Elton. I admire Jerry Lee Lewis since he was able to change everyone’s association of the piano being boring

Famous composers for the piano include Beethoven and Hayden. Both Beethoven and Hayden produced musical motifs that are still used in todays presentations with parts of their music still being universally recognized as a symbol such as Beethovens symphony no 5 representing doom, or instilling suspense. 4. Like in answer three Beethovens symphony no 5 is a famous piece written for the piano. Most people know this piece and this piece affects most people emotionally by instilling anxiety.
