Abigail Hundt Kaitlyn Groves & Imani Walton Lab 02 Force Table Summary The main objective of this lab was to study forces as vectors using geometrical addition of forces, algebraic addition of forces, rectangular components of forces and learn to position the force in relation to a system of coordinates. These were verified through the procedure and proper use of the force table. As a result the tension in the string produced by a hanging weight (f=ma) allowed for the rules of vectors to be utilized. In conclusion the resultant force can be figured by using various forms of vector addition. Introduction The lab includes processes of adding vectors together to produce a resultant vector and gain experience in using vector quantities. The hypothesis included that with successful use of vector addition the force table will remain balanced through the various scenarios outlined in the lab procedure. The theory included in this lab is to produce a resultant vector using vector addition that keeps the force table balanced.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
